Windy Ormond Market Day 2/25/10
Life would be so boring without wind! I'm so thankful for my Italian Spice Guy neighbor who anchored my tent so well to the earth. We had gusts up to 2o mph! It's hard to keep a nice display when the wind is whipping everything around.
We are starting to sell our treats in 1/2 lb and 1/4 lb sizes. It's more cost effective for you and your pet. The bags they come in are biodegradable and compostable, too! Perfect for cleaning up after your pet knowing that your bag won't be around for 10 years. Sounds silly? Well, it's just one little thing that might make a difference in the big schema of life. Doesn't hurt to try and your dog will love the treats!

Inspiration Kitchen
Here are my two advisors today:
Guess who came over to check out the Mia Love Eco Treat Kitchen? Our inspiration, my brother, David.
Why is he our inspiration?
I'm hoping that the desire for people to buy wholesome treats for their dogs and cats enables him to be employed.
What's the big deal about that?
Well, David is 28, does not talk, is severely disabled, and has autism.
Why is this such a big deal right now?
Yesterday we received a phone call from a local police department asking us to pick up my brother because his "caregiver" left him in her car for over an hour. Police reports state that he was drenched in sweat and that the seedy hotel is known for active drug deals and prostitution.
Now our family is faced without any services because of the lack of qualified service providers...people we trust to keep my brother safe, is limited.
Sadly, we trusted this person for ten years.
End of that saga and on to more opportunities!
Oh and by the way, we made Fido Flax today which is ground flax, parmesan, and water. It was delicious and enjoyed by all three of us!
See you at the market!

Brrrutiful Day at the Ormond Beach Market!
Wow! I love the cold weather–it’s invigorating and we can appear thinner instantly by pealing off layers of clothing. Today Ormond Beach was crisp and clean. The amazing aromas of the Swiss Baker, Armond, on one side of me and the Italian Spice guys on the other. We had baked a new treat called Fido Flax that’s downright heavenly smelling with ground flax, parmesan, and garlic. Another new treat that was a hit today was the O’Shannon with organic spinach, potato flour, oat flour, parmesan and a hint of garlic. The O’Shannon will be a hot item for St. Patrick’s Day.
So on to the pictures of the fabulous canines from the market today. See you at the Sanford Market this Saturday!
